“A Vietnamese fan of Arsenal football club has spoken of his joy at meeting his heroes after pursuing their bus.

Vu Xuan Tien, 20, was invited to meet the squad after they noticed a man clad in a team shirt running near the bus, dodging Hanoi’s traffic to keep up.

The players then stopped the bus and signed his shirt. “I never thought I’d be so lucky,” he told the BBC.

Arsenal were in the Vietnamese capital to play the national team, who they beat 7-1 on Wednesday.”
