Heat Wave Across SE Asia – 300 deaths
In the areas of South and Southeast Asia, there has been a major heat wave. Around 300 people have passed away from suffering mostly from heat strokes in the countries of Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The areas of the eastern states of India have had temperatures up words to 45°C. In the country of Thailand, there been record highs of temperatures never seen before in recorded history. This country alone has lost its 21 people to the heat wave.
According to some studies, more than 50 urban zones have had recorded new heat records. The government of Thailand had told its citizens to cut back on water use during new year’s Songkran Festival that happen weeks ago. As everyone knows, Songkran involves water fights.
